Additionally, Cynthia Friedman and Arthur Lindenauer have been elected to serve on the Orpheus Board of Trustees.
Richard Lannamann, Chairman of the orchestra’s board of Trustees said, “As Orpheus continues to expand its artistic legacy, we are proud to welcome several new members to the Orpheus Family: extremely talented musicians who are the heart of the orchestra, and two new Trustees as advocates for and supporters of this artistic treasure.”

Cynthia’s many dedicated years of service to education as part of her role at Carnegie Mellon will undoubtedly bring a unique dimension to the Trustees, as will Arthur’s many years of experience at the helm of a major multinational corporation, and his involvement with the Tuck School of Business.”
Eric Wyrick, one of three Artistic Directors of the orchestra said of the new musicians, "Over the past several seasons, Carl, Jordan, Maya, and Christoph have proven to be extraordinary and dedicated colleagues. The orchestra is proud to welcome Carl Albach, Jordan Frazier, Maya Gunji and Christoph Huebner to full membership."
Orpheus Chamber Orchestra is currently expanding its membership, with four additional positions (trumpet, horn, viola, and violin) to be announced in the upcoming seasons.

Orpheus is building significant bridges between conservatory training and the professional music field in through the Orpheus Institute. Orpheus musicians share their unique artist-centered philosophy, methodology and skills with students at the Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music. A year-long comprehensive set of seminars and courses provides opportunities for students to develop artistic and administrative leadership skills that will enhance their ability to participate fully in any performing arts organizations that might employ them.
Founded in 1972 by cellist Julian Fifer and a group of fellow musicians who aspired to present musician-led performances of standard and contemporary orchestral repertoire, Orpheus is a self governing organization. Central to its distinctive personality is its practice of sharing and rotating leadership roles. For every work, the members of the orchestra select the concertmaster and the principal players for each section.
